INSIDER TRACK … Berlin Store Opening

As one of the coolest cities in Europe, we are delighted to announce that we have now opened a Karen Millen store in Berlin located on the famed shopping street of Kurfürstendamm.

Vogue Germany has already highlighted our store opening as hot news in their April issue.

With its fabulous cultural and social scene and of course great shopping, it is the perfect weekend break destination and here one of our favourite editors, Miriam Amro, Fashion Editor at Grazia Germany, shares her top five places to go in this vibrant city.

Miriam’s Best Of Berlin….

Best Bar

Solar Lounge & Restaurant has to be one of my favourite bars. A glass lift takes you to the 16th floor (where the Bar is located), not only is the view divine, the food & drinks are too.

Best Hotel

A go-to hotel in Berlin is the NHow Hotel. The hotel combines music, art & architecture. Great interiors and it comes with your own music manager. Also the staff members are from music colleges! There’s also an integrated high-end recording studio with a panoramic view of Berlin.

I love it!

Best Restaurant

Reinstoff in Berlin Mitte is an amazing restaurant and the perfect location for a stylish date. The cuisine is avant-garde so get ready to have your taste buds wowed and blown away

Reinstoff, Edison Höfe Berlin Mitte, Schlegelstrasse 26c, 10115 Berlin

Best Club

The party scene in Berlin is amazing. I love to go to ‘Cookies’. It’s a place you can hang out till the early morning, dance the night away and people watch.

Best Exhibition

Until May 7 the Camera Work Photo Gallery is showing the Russell James exhibition (for the first time in Europe). The images he took of Miranda Kerr and Rosie Huntington Whiteley (who has starred in a Karen Millen Campaign) are just beautiful. It’s a must-see.

Contact – Kantstraße 149, 10117 Berlin

Make sure you visit the Karen Millen store –  Kurfüstendamm 220, 10719 Berlin.

When I see such pictures of newly opening stores, it strikes me how small my ‘home’ store in The Hague, Hoogstraat is. The window has place for no more than two dummies! Time to move to a larger location, as soon as one comes available in this number one shopping street of The Hague?
