“When we were designing autumn we wanted an antidote to all the relaxed sporty minimal daywear looks and started talking about 40’s and 50’s screen sirens . We wanted to create something straight out of Hitchcock movies; smoky, sultry and very glamorous, but still elegant. As we’ve been working on the season we’ve become convinced this is a strong new trend emerging and the Grace Kelly exhibition at the V&A seemed to crystallize the mood we wanted.”
